# Wordwise

> Wordwise is a context-aware dictionary and one-click Anki flashcard creator for language learners. It powers the Anki Dictionary browser extension (Chrome and Firefox): double-click a word on any webpage to get a smart, context-aware definition, then export a beautifully formatted flashcard to Anki in one click via AnkiConnect, or download it as a .txt file.

- English-to-English lookups are free and require no account.
- Multi-language lookups (20+ languages, e.g. Spanish, French, German, Japanese) require a Wordwise account with a paid subscription after a 7-day free trial.
- Cards include the definition, part of speech, pronunciation, the original context sentence, and example sentences.
- Anki export works through the AnkiConnect plugin; a .txt export is available when Anki is not installed.
